Feasibility: Is it Possible to Retrieve Deleted WhatsApp Chats?
It is of importance to know that deleted files on iPhone/iPad/iPod are actually not gone yet. They, as a matter of fact, turn invisible and inaccessible so that users cannot reach them. If there are backup files available, it's a piece of cake to get deleted chats back. However, if you didn't back up WhatsApp, it might be less easier but still possible to retrieve lost chat history.
Note that please stop using your iOS device once you deleted chats and no backup is available.
That's because deleted chats are still stored on somewhere on your device while you just cannot
view them. If you keep using the handset, the new contents would possibly overwritten the old
contents. If it happens, there is no way getting them back.
Method 1: Restore WhatsApp Messages without Backups
As I've mentioned above, you have to stop using your phone to do anything, which means no photo-taking, no message-texting and so on. I know it's difficult for most of us, but it's a must if you still want to get deleted WhatsApp chats back.
Meanwhile, a powerful software is indispensable given that lost WhatsApp chats become invisible and inaccessible. iPhone Data Recovery is here for help. It not only supports to restore data like Photos, Messages, Contacts, Notes, etc., but now supports to retrieve data from social apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Kik and Line. Let's move on and see how it works.

the software marked in read. Then, you are allowed to selectively restore them to the computer
by a touch of "Recover to Computer".
Method 2: Extract WhatsApp Conversations from iCloud Backups
WhatsApp is also featured with an iCloud service, which allows users to make or restore a backup on WhatsApp. If you've backed up your WhatsApp via the app, you can recover the data through the re-installment of WhatsApp. However, if you've done an iCloud backup on iPhone instead of that of WhatsApp, you can restore from iCloud without any data loss as the following steps show to you.
Step 1. Download WhatsApp Messages from iCloud

Step 2. Restore Lost WhatsApp Messages
Now, you are able to view the WhatsApp chat history in detail before the restoration. Then, please check desired items and click on "Recover to Computer". Choose the position to store your chats and they will be exported to computer intact.
Method 3: Recover WhatsApp Chats from iTunes Backups
Instead of an iCloud backup, you can restore deleted contents via iTunes if there is an iTunes backup available. Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod with iTunes and go to "File" > "Devices" > "Restore from Backup". Then, choose a backup and click on "Restore". However, it will erase current files on iOS device.
